Dear friends,
We are a global coalition www.marchtogaza.net of already 22 countries from around the world made of thousands of global citizens, grassroots groups and NGO’s that are outraged by the suffering of the Palestinian people, by the genocide in Gaza, and by the ongoing occupation of Palestine.
Because of recent contradicting information spread on social media accounts, we wish to clarify the following: This global movement initiated with various individuals who wanted to organize a global citizen march at the boarder to Rafah, because we can no longer bear to witness the cruel treatment Palestinians in Gaza are subjected to. The movement was simultaneously initiated in different countries – when the organizers found out about each other and decided to join forces naturally to unify.
Unfortunately, there has been a split with a major group of a French organizer because transparency was not granted and collaboration made difficult. Therefore, there are two separate global march efforts now. Our march is set to take place on the 15th of June. Our organization and information is spread on the mentioned above website: www.marchtogaza.net. We are currently in communication with the Egyptian authorities.
We are asking people from every community, city and country across the world to join the Global March To Gaza, even if you cannot come to Egypt please show your support follow us on social media, engage with your state departments and embassies, speak out about the groups that are trying to sabotage and stop this movement of people who are calling on :
● Immediate and permanent opening of the Rafah crossing
● Safe delivery of humanitarian aid under autonomy of the UN and humanitarian organisations
● Complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestine
● Reconstruction of Gaza under international supervision
● End of the illegal occupation in Palestine
If you can please join a group in your country and join us on the 15th June and if you can not be there, then please show your support and help to ensure we grow the Global March To Gaza movement and continue to show the people of Palestine that we stand with them today and everyday.
