Dr Catherine Le Scolan-Quéré – Spokesperson for France
Dr. Catherine Le Scolan-Quéré is 58 years old and a mother of four. She is a French general practitioner practicing in Rennes, Brittany. There, she provides care for several refugee families (from Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan…).
In her city, she has been involved with the France Palestine association and has organized numerous events since October 7, 2023, including photographic exhibitions in support of Gaza.
From November 21 to December 5, 2024, she carried out a medical mission in the emergency department of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip. She traveled with the NGO Palmed France, under the umbrella of the American NGO Rahma Worldwide. For two weeks, she treated patients suffering from skin, ENT (ear, nose, throat), lung, kidney, and digestive infections, as well as conditions related to cold, stress, malnutrition, and lack of hygiene.
At the end of her mission, she evacuated two children from Gaza and brought them to Rennes to reunite with their injured father and brother.

Since then, she has helped bring two other families of injured Gazans to France.
Together with a colleague from Rennes, she has written and launched a petition calling for humanitarians to be allowed entry into Gaza.
