Dr. Regula Grabherr Fawzi

Dr. Regula Grabherr Fawzi – specialized in Gynecology / Obstetrics,

I am a Doctor, specialized in Gynecology / Obstetrics, and I’m head of Tana, Center for Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain in Lenzburg, Switzerland.

I am married to a Lebanese, and have to wonderful daughters.

I have initiated “Tana Gaza”, a project with the aim to establish treatment for women and girls suffering from endometriosis in Gaza, including a training program for local doctors.

Being a doctor, I cannot be silent about the Genocide in Gaza. It is my duty to speak out for those who need me. There is no justification to starve the whole population of Gaza; to bomb hospitals, to kill, abduct and torture doctors, paramedics, nurses, pharmacists; to displace hundreds of thousands again and again.

When I was young, I used to read a lot about the Holocaust, and I was wondering: Would I have had the courage to stand up against it? So now that there is a Genocide happening right in front of our eyes – how I can I not try to do something to stop it?

If me and my family lived in Gaza, I would hope that there were people out there speaking up for us. It breaks my heart to look at my daughters and to imagine them in Gaza.

That’s why I decided to join the March to Gaza on 15th of June. From the bottom of my heart, I thank all my patients who have to be rescheduled for understanding that I have to do this. And everybody else who joins the fight to end this Genocide, in whatever way they can: Thank you.
