Questions - Answers

Is Global March To Gaza a political movement?

No. Global March To Gaza is a civic, apolitical, and independent movement.
We do not represent any political party, ideology, or religion.
We represent the people, in all their diversity and humanism.
Our only guiding principles are justice, human dignity, and peace.

Absolutely not.
We have always been clear: Global March to Gaza is a peaceful movement.
We will not force any barrier, any border.
We aim to negotiate the opening of the Rafah terminal with the Egyptian authorities, in collaboration with NGOs, diplomats, and humanitarian institutions.

Because no one is acting proportionately to the tragedy.
Gaza is starving, crushed, isolated.
This is not just about symbolic support.
We want to deliver humanitarian aid with a strong civilian presence to create international moral and media pressure.
If states fail, then the people must step in.

NGOs are doing admirable work, but they are currently blocked.
Aid is piling up at the border and cannot enter.
Our action aims to unblock this passage and secure a permanent humanitarian corridor to guarantee our safety.
It is a complementary, civic, and visible initiative.

MarchToGaza is a citizens’ movement, and no funding is provided for its members or contributors to the movement.
Each member is responsible for his or her own funding.
In order to remain totally independent, there will be no fundraising or online cagnotte.
You are free to contribute to the movement by helping members you know personally to make their journey a reality.

We are taking all necessary legal and diplomatic precautions.
A legal team with international law attorneys is mobilized to anticipate all scenarios.
But our strength lies in our visibility and negotiations with embassies: if thousands of peaceful citizens are turned back or arrested,
the entire world will know. This would create unprecedented pressure and severely damage the country’s image.

We are planning a short stay, 12 to 14 days maximum, depending on authorizations from the Egyptian government.
Egypt grants a 30-day visa (e-visa available online).
We advise you to apply from 10 June.

The date of the event in Egypt is set for 15 June 2025.

Yes. Absolutely everyone can participate.
No matter your origin, religion, profession, or country.
